The cost to buy Amiibo figures in the UK have risen. One retailer have recently raised the price to an all-new high.
If you live in the UK and want to buy Amiibo figures from ShopTo, it will cost you more than it was last year.
ShopTo has now risen the price for all Amiibo figures at £19.85. This looks like it will be the new permanent price for the popular figures. This is quite expensive for a small plastic toy.
ShopTo originally sold Amiibo figures for only £10.99 when they first came out. ShopTo then rose the price to £14.99. This is the price that other UK retailers have used. However this week, they decided to raise the price again which makes it one of the most expensive places you can buy Amiibo figures in the UK.
I thought Amiibo figures in New Zealand were expensive costing $NZD24.99. The new £19.85 price tag is equivalent to a whopping $NZD40. This is close to $USD30.
ShopTo never gave a reason as to why they decided to increase the price of Amiibo figures so high. It’s possible because of the high demand of the figures. Either way, collectors in the UK better save up their money as these figures are getting more expensive as time goes by.
