Overwatch continues to be a massive success for Blizzard, with the game launching to rave reviews earlier this year and increasing its player count steadily since then. However, Blizzard has shared some new stats about the game that really put just how popular the game is into perspective.
It has now been revealed that Overwatch has surpassed 20 million players worldwide, with 5 million players jumping on board since August. This puts the current player count increase at 3,000 every hour, which is pretty impressive stuff. There also doesn’t seem to be any end in sight in terms of support for the game dying down, so who knows where these numbers will end up by the end of the year.
Overwatch most recently got the Halloween Terror update, which added several new things to the game like a new mode, skins and more. You can check out the full details on that update by clicking right here.
The developer has also recently revealed that big changes will be coming to the character Symmetra, as she is currently one of the least-used heroes in the game. Exact details on what the changes will be have not yet been revealed, though the update could roll out as early as mid-November if all goes well.
Overwatch is available now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
