Sony has recently revealed that it has a strong grip in Europe as the PS4 is selling very well all over that continent.

VG247 interviewed SCEE president Jim Ryan and he revealed that the PS4 has a huge market share in most European countries.

Ryan says he doesn’t think the market share for the PS4 drops below 70 percent in any European country. He goes on to say in some European countries, the market is “greater than 90%“.

Obviously, Ryan is happy with the amount of success the PS4 is experiencing in Europe right now. He also mentioned he’s happy with the price of the console and value it has to the customer.

According to Ryan, customers in Europe are happy with the PS4 too. They feel the it’s a valuable system and don’t mind the current price that has been set too.

The Sony PS4 has been one of the most successful video game consoles released to date. It had a far better launch than the PS3. Sony miscalculated its audience back then thinking most gamers were rich enough to pay for one.

It will be interesting to see if Sony’s PS4 can maintain its position in Europe. Microsoft is pushing the Xbox One hard this year releasing the likes of Halo 5: Guardians and Rise of the Tomb Raider just to name a few.
