PlayStation Germany may have inadvertently leaked the release date for both the PlayStation VR device and Gran Turismo Sport. Both games are expected to be out in October.
As noted by German website PS Inside, they went to the official press website for PlayStation Germany and saw release dates for both Gran Turismo Sport and the PlayStation VR headset.
On the official German PlayStation press site, the date that was next to both items was October 12th, 2016. Sony did announce earlier this year that the PlayStation VR will be released in the month of October.
As for the status of Gran Turismo Sport, the release date has not been officially announced yet but Sony stresses that it still be will out in the year of 2016. The company does not expect that the title will be delayed until 2017.
Bear in mind, take this news as a rumor for now as the press site could just be putting a placeholder date for both items. However, recent leaks have turned out to be true such as the setting of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and the existence of a Modern Warfare remaster.
It’s possible the release date could be true as Sony is likely to make more announcements at E3 2016 happening next month. Not to mention Gran Turismo Sport is PlayStation VR compatible and will be a great launch title for the device.
