According to a well known insider, we may be seeing the upcoming PS4 update 3.0 sooner rather than later.
As reported a few days ago, PS4 update 3.0 is currently undergoing beta testing. Video game insider, Tidux, has tweeted that the new update might be coming as soon as this September.
He says the update should be out in three weeks just in time for the release of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. He also said in another tweet that the update will have more features than what was revealed initially.
The biggest feature known about the new update so far is that PS4 owners can broadcast gameplay on YouTube. They can also upload 10 second videos on to Twitter and more.
It will be interesting if Tidux’s prediction comes true. He has been very reliable in the past on these sorts of things. Many people assumed PS4 update 3.0 would be coming closer to the Fall.
It is also interesting to know if there will be more features that were not already announced before. Last year’s 2.0 update came with many neat stuff such as Share Play just to name a few. Microsoft is adding an updated UI and backwards compatibility to the Xbox One. One has to wonder what Sony has up its sleeve for PS4 update 3.0.
