Street Fighter 5 is still many months away from release, with it not scheduled until early 2016, but gamers are going to get their first hands-on with the game later this week. Capcom and Sony are holding a PS4 exclusive beta and while it is still a few days away, the download codes have already started to go out.

Street Fighter 5’s beta isn’t one of those that you can just sign up for like many of them are, but instead it requires you to pre-order the game to gain access. This makes sense as a marketing tool and according to the Street Fighter subreddit, codes from both Amazon and GameStop have started to go out already.

The Street Fighter 5 beta itself does not start until July 23 at 9 PM ET, but these codes are evidently going out early so people can get their’s downloaded ahead of time.

The good news is that the file size is quite small according to Game Idealist, who says that it is only 1.4 GB, with a companion update that is also 1.4 GB. So worst case scenario, you don’t get a chance to download it until the day of, it shouldn’t take you very long.

The beta itself will include four characters at the start, with two more joining in on the fun later, so if you are participating, make sure to try it out for multiple days.
