Tekken 7 has decent graphics in the arcades, yet the upcoming console version might look even better.

A fan on Twitter wanted to know if the graphics for Tekken 7 will be improved for the console version. This is because the visuals in the arcade version has stayed the same for many months even after many updates.

The game’s director, Katsuhiro Harada replied on Twitter: “Working on new graphics“. This is an indication the game will look even better whenever it comes out on console platforms.

The game runs on Unreal Engine 4 and looks pretty good in the arcades, although there is room for some improvements. Hopefully the “new graphics” that Harada and his team are working on can make the game look even better than it already is.

At Paris Games Week, it has been confirmed Tekken 7 will be released for the PS4. The PS4 will get exclusive content and also have PlayStation VR support. The game has yet to be announced on Xbox One, but it’s likely it will be released on Microsoft’s console.

In terms of a release date, nobody knows yet. Bandai Namco is still working hard on making updates to the arcade version of the game. Hopefully the game comes out in 2016 at least.
