Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 Has A Huge Day-One Update Patch

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 may have a small download size, but the first patch is bigger than the game itself.

The first update patch is said to be as large as 7.7GB. This is quite huge since the download size for the game is only a mere 4.6GB on PS4.

A huge download patch on the first day is not a very good sign. Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 has a pretty big online component so maybe this update is needed to fix the multiplayer.

There has been speculation that the game is not up to par. Firstly, the game’s graphics changed from 3D to a 2D cel-shaded look as people criticized the game’s PS2-like visuals before.

Not to mention there are no reviews posted for the game yet even though the game is out on September 29th. Hopefully the game is still playable, although the warning signs are there that it might not have a smooth launch.

If you plan on buying the game this week, bear in mind you may want to wait to download and install the big update patch first. It’s only out on PS4 and Xbox One this week. The PS3 and Xbox 360 versions are not out until November.
