With the release of the final Witcher 3 expansion called Blood and Wine set to launch soon, developer CD Projekt RED has put their entire focus on their next known game called Cybperunk 2077. However, the developer has now confirmed that they will not be showing Cyberpunk 2077 at E3, but if they do show up they will be showing something else.

CD Projekt RED co-founder Marcin Iwinski recently did an interview with Eurogamer, where he said the following:

“It might happen that we will be at E3 and we will show something at E3, but I just want to make it clear it’s not Cyberpunk. We still have a lot of work to do with Cyberpunk.” He goes on to say that it will be a “a new type of video game format previously unexplored by the studio.”

He was then asked about the possibilities of the reveal having anything to do with the Witcher series, which he did not confirm or deny. It seems likely that it will be Witcher related at this point, as with all of the time spent on that series and now going full throttle on Cyberpunk it’s hard to imagine them having much more time for anything else.

The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine will launch on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on May 31st. Scroll down for a brief description of the expansion.

“Become professional monster slayer Geralt of Rivia and explore Toussaint, a remote land untouched by war, where you will unravel the horrifying secret behind a beast terrorizing the kingdom. With all trails leading to dead ends, only a witcher can solve the mystery and survive the evil lurking in the night. Introducing an entirely new realm to traverse, new characters and monsters, Blood and Wine is a 20+ hour adventure full of dark deeds, unexpected twists, romance and deceit.”
