WWE 2K16 is the next entry in the annual series that is scheduled for release later this year and we are starting to hit the stretch where lots of information will be coming out. Yesterday, it was teased that we would get the much awaited cover reveal for WWE 2K16 during tonight’s Monday Night RAW, but evidently they couldn’t wait.
As revealed through the official YouTube page for WWE 2K, it has been announced that wrestling icon Stone Cold Steve Austin will grace the cover of WWE 2K16 as seen on the right.
Serving as one of the biggest names of the ’90s, Stone Cold Steve Austin is a favorite of many that has always stayed close to WWE as a whole over the years, so this is a perfect fit for the cover of WWE 2K16.
The announcement came via a trailer that you can see below, but to no big surprise, no gameplay is shown. The trailer uses similar tactics to the numerous released last summer. If last year is any indication, it’s going to be awhile before we get any gameplay. However, with it being the second year on current-gen consoles, hopefully we’ll get stuff sooner.
WWE 2K16 will release for Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, and PS3 on October 27.
