The PlayStation Vita launch in Japan is a go, and with it, the first uboxing imagery from the handheld has begun to surface. Play Asia who specializes in import retail has posted some shots of the handheld and its contents.

The Japanese launch is the first territory that the new handheld will grace, before heading to Europe and North America early in 2012.
