While it’s common that publishers will change their minds on how they will go about releasing their games and accompanying content prior to launch, it looks like Bandai Namco has done so after the fact. Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 has received some changes to its Steam store page description, and the changes definitely won’t be making fans happy.
Prior to the game’s release (and even for a period afterwards) Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2’s Steam Page said the game would receive “Free updates and post launch support for more than a year.” However, the page has since been edited and now reads “Post launch support for more than a year.”
As you may have noticed, the part about the free updates has now been removed, suggesting that content that was set to be free no longer is. What’s interesting is that the part about there being post launch support for more than a year had also been changed to 6 months, but it has since changed back.
It will be interesting to see if Bandai Namco addresses this, but for now it looks like they’re going back on their promises. You can check out our review of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 by clicking right here.
