Bandai Namco has announced that there will be a manga based on Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2. This manga is included in the Collector’s Edition of the game.
The Dragon Ball Z Games Facebook page posted: “The collector’s edition of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 will include the Time Patroller’s Guide, an awesome artbook including an exclusive manga! For the first time, you can see its cover!”
Aside from the cover of the manga being revealed, they also posted the first page of it as well. The illustrations look cool and reflect the video game really well.
In addition to the manga announcement, Dragon Ball’s creator Akira Toriyama posted a message to fans worldwide. It tells us who is now responsible for drawing the manga.
Toriyama said: “I’ve been drawing manga less often these days, Toyataro has taken up the mantle of drawing Dragon Ball. I still continue the basic story ideas, but Toyataro’s wonderful skills allow the Dragon Ball universe to be brought back to life in the present.”
Bandai Namco did not reveal if you will be able to get the manga without buying the Collector’s Edition. Hopefully it’s available to buy separately in the near future. Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 comes out later this month for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
