FIFA 16 is just about a month away from release and, as we told you the other day, EA Sports is holding a closed beta for a select number of lucky gamers. However, there have evidently been some issues for some on PS4 and it sounds like they have all been linked to the always problematic Rest Mode.
The 15 GB closed beta for FIFA 16 is certainly a very large file for just a beta and the actual downloading of it is what seems to be causing the problem. According to Product Reviews, there have been numerous complaints about the beta being corrupted.
The issue seems to be isolated specifically to those who started their FIFA 16 closed beta download and then put their PS4 in Rest Mode. If you start the download remotely while your console is in Rest Mode, it supposedly should not be affected.
EA Sports says that it is important to make sure that you do not have your system set to go into Rest Mode automatically after a certain amount of idle time, because that could easily cause a problem with the FIFA 16 beta download, especially with it being this size.
FIFA 16 will be released on September 22 for PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360, and PC.
