At E3 this year the Dead Island 2 trailer took the world by storm and it looks to be a sure-fire hit for Deep Silver with renowned Yager at the helm.

One key focal point in the trailer that sent many to the internet buzzing was towards the end where the bodybuilder was harvested for his shoes. Many believed the voices to belong to famed Hollywood actors Jack Black and Aaron Paul respectively.
During a Reddit AMA yesterday Jack Black was asked regarding his involvement in the upcoming Dead Island 2 to which he responded;

“I’m looking it up right now…Dead Island 2 trailer. I’m just going to watch this real quick. Is this a video game? Oh my god. It’s a video game. Very real looking! Yeah, it’s not me, but now I’m so into this. I can’t stop watching a trailer. This is not a trailer, this is a short film. Holy shit, is he a zombie? I want to see if they got a voice impersonator. Oh my god. This is like the best trailer ever. It’s almost over guys. That’s infuriating. Yeah, I can definitely guarantee that’s a Jack Black impersonator. It sounds like the dude that plays me in the Kung Fu Panda TV show.”

I suppose that is a confirmation that Jack Black is indeed not involved in Dead Island 2 but he suspects an impersonator. No word on if the same is true for the Aaron Paul sounding voice in the trailer.
