Lilian Garcia has just announced on her Twitter page that she will be the main announcer in WWE 2K16.

Lilian Garcia tweeted:Soooo excited 2 announce that I am back in the @WWEGAMES & in a big way this year! WWE 2K16 here I come!!

She left the WWE a few years ago after being with the company for over a decade. During that time, Justin Roberts was used as the main announcer for the video games and the company itself.

Even when she returned in 2011, the video games still mainly used Justin Roberts. However, Roberts was released from the WWE not too long ago so his last appearance was in WWE 2K15. With a vacancy available, 2K Games has now recruited Garcia for the announcer role in WWE 2K16.

It was also revealed not too long ago that the game will also have a three-man commentary team. This year fans will get to listen to JBL, Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler. These are the main commentators for the game. It’s speculated Jim Ross also appears in older match types.

Garcia would have had to record lots of new material for the game as there are many WWE Superstars and Divas that have never appeared in a video game before. The game is set to include over 120 unique wrestlers so that’s a lot of entrances she had to record.
