Nintendo has some big plans in the works for E3, and part of that includes bringing new content to their first mobile app called Miitomo. The idea is that if a certain tweet gets enough retweets, then Nintendo will be bringing Legend of Zelda-themed items to Miitomo.

Nintendo said the following about the promotion:

“Miitomo users should check @NintendoAmerica on Twitter today for a special tweet kicking off a collaboration between the mobile app and the Legend of Zelda franchise. “If the tweet gets a combined 10,000 retweets worldwide, Nintendo will issue a ‘Link’s new hair wig’ as an in-app gift to all users of Nintendo’s Miitomo mobile app. If it gets 20,000 combined retweets, Nintendo will give all Miitomo users a ‘Link wig’ in the Miitomo app.”

Also, June 14th marks the day when a new Miitomo Drop mini-game will be added into the app that will include all Legend of Zelda items. Users will also be able to use Miitomo coins in the app to purchase the Legend of Zelda collaboration items. An additional Legend of Zelda gift will be available on the My Nintendo website, which can be purchased with My Nintendo Platinum Points.

New concept art was also shared for the upcoming Zelda game that can be seen at the top of this post, as well as the announcement of an eShop sale that will kick off on June 14th. This sale will run until June 21st, though it remains to be seen if it will be similar to the recent European eShop sale.
