One of the biggest shockers of all of E3 2016 was the reveal of Resident Evil 7 during Sony’s conference, with it leading to plenty of controversy over its new style. The game was initially shown off as a VR only experience under the name Kitchen at events prior to this, and now we know when this demo will be available on the PlayStation Store for regions such as Europe.
One of the coolest announcements involved was that the game would be fully playable on PlayStation VR, with us getting a little taste of the regular version of the game with the Beginning Hour demo already. However, the original Kitchen demo that no one knew was even Resident Evil at the time is going to be released for PSVR very soon.
As revealed by the official Resident Evil Twitter, the Resident Evil 7 Kitchen demo will be coming for PlayStation VR on the PlayStation Store in EMEA territories on October 13.
This is great news for early adopters in those regions, as the demo disc itself that is coming with the headset in Europe includes less games due to ratings issues. They had previously said they were going to try to get the missing demos on PSN and the great news is that the Resident Evil 7 Kitchen demo is going to be one of those right at launch.
VR is something that is hard to explain without trying, so it’s great that we’re going to be getting free demos like this to try out, with it being one of the games on the physical demo disc that is coming with the units as well in the US. For those that maybe lose their demo disc in the US, it will also be available for download on PSN after launch as well.
