This latest developer diary from Naughty Dog delves into the concept artistry of The Last of Us, and how it meshes with the game’s cinematic games engine to become an interactive experience.

This survival-action, character driven third person action title tells the tale of survivors of a modern plague. Creative Director, Neil Druckmann says that the story of The Last of Us contains “pretty dark themes, but their juxtaposed against an aesthetic that we find very beautiful.”

And beautiful it is. The Last of Us is slated to release on June 14th, exclusively for the PlayStation 3.
