Bungie’s new game not coming in 2011

Last night Activision said a few choice words on its recent partnership with Bungie during the company’s quarterly financial report. Although no new information regarding what type of game this will be the publisher did say it would be a huge part of it’s growth initiative going forward.

“Bungie is one of the world’s most gifted developers with one of the best track records in the industry,” said Eric Hirshberg, CEO of Activision Publishing, during last night’s fourth quarter earnings call. “And although the title is not expected to launch this year, Bungie’s new universe will represent a tremendous long-term potential through Activision Publishing.”

Hirshberg added: “I can’t share the specifics of the game with you today, but I want to voice our absolute commitment and excitement to the team at Bungie.”
