Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F has proved to be a big hit as the movie has now out grossed Battle of Gods’ Japanese box office total in Japan.
As reported by Japanese website Asahi, Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F has now grossed over 4 billion yen at the Japanese box office. This is the equivalent to $USD33 million. This is an improvement over Battle of Gods as that movie grossed $USD29 million in Japan when it came out last year. Japan is the only country that is showing the movie in cinemas so far.
Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F will be released in several other countries later this year. An English dub version will be available during the screenings, or you can opt for the original Japanese audio if you want to. There’s currently no release dates set for the movie, although many people are assuming it will be coming out in August. We’ll wait for an official announcement on exact dates and time.
Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F will be a limited release, although distributors are hoping to release the film in more places thanks to the positive reception Battle of Gods received. Much like Battle of Gods, it’s likely the film will be available on DVD and Blu-ray eventually.
