Red Bull had a chance to interview Miles Luna who is the director and writer for Red vs Blue. He talked briefly about Halo 5: Guardians.

As fans will know already, Red vs Blue is a famous comedy web series that uses gameplay footage from the Halo series. The earlier seasons were still funny, but the animation was a bit stiff and old looking. Now on its 13th season, the creators have been looking ahead on what could be done in Halo 5: Guardians.

Red Bull asked Luna on how Halo 5: Guardians will be affecting the Red vs Blue series. Luna said he actually had a chance to get some “one-on-one time” with the game a few weeks ago.

Luna said he is so “excited about being able to machinimate” in Halo 5: Guardians. He also mentioned 343 Industries have done a lot of cool things “with the game that are going to make a lot of machinimators happy“.

Judging by his comments, a lot of machinimators will love the new things that they will be able to do in Halo 5: Guardians. They could probably animate more action-packed scenarios and have more assets available to them as well.

It’s likely we won’t see any Red vs Blue series from Halo 5: Guardians until next year. The wait will probably be worth it since the series is still popular and funny to many fans today.
