New PSN Exploit Discovered..Some Services Disabled

It seems another security loophole has been found in the newly resumed PlayStation Network Service.  This exploit allows a hack to potentially change your PSN password, as long as they know your email address and birth date.  Since it’s been widely regarded that these things were exposed during the intial hack on the PlayStation Network, millions of accounts could potentially be in jeopardy.

Sony has responded quickly to the new exploit, doing maintenance on the affected portions of their network.  At this point, the online gaming portion of the PSN has not been affected by this exploit.  It seems to have been limited to Sony sites, and partner sites, that allow users to sign in with their PSN accounts. Hopefully, this doesn’t turn into something bigger, and was caught in time to stave off any privacy intrusions of Sony’s customers.
