Microsoft has commented on the recent price drop for the PS4 plus the Xbox brand losing out on the Call of Duty DLC exclusivity deal.
Gamespot interviewed Xbox marketing executive Aaron Greenberg more on how Microsoft is reacting to the PS4 price drop as well as losing out Call of Duty deals to Sony.
In North America, both the PS4 and Xbox One are now priced at $350. Greenberg said Microsoft is confident to stay competitive with the PS4 during this Holiday season.
Greenberg also feels great games are what consumers really want. He feels Microsoft has “the greatest games lineup in the history of our business“. The recently released Halo 5: Guardians and Rise of the Tomb Raider are the Xbox One’s biggest draws this Holiday season.
Gamespot even asked Greenberg about Microsoft losing the Call of Duty DLC exclusivity deal to Sony. He mentioned Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 will still be a big title for the Xbox One. He also says there’s no actual “exclusive” deal since it’s timed DLC. He is confident that Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 plus the other games available on Xbox One will be a strong Holiday for Xbox owners.
