Rise of the Tomb Raider broke away from its short exclusivity on Xbox One to release on PC last week, which reportedly is very impressive visually and performance wise. Now, only a week after release, the game has a new patch for PC that appears to have made the game even better.
Nixxes, the developer responsible for the PC version, posted to the game’s Steam page that patch 1.0.610.1 is now available for Rise of the Tomb Raider, which will be automatically applied by Steam or Windows the next time you start the game.
A few of the fixes are involving Steam itself, as it fixes a few issues people had with the game not starting up correctly in a few different ways. The game also has a few updates to the options screen adding independent mouse sensitivity control for aim and regular navigation.
The bulk of patch involves what they call the “other fixes,” which involve changes in the UI, improved performance and quality in multiple areas. For further details of these and more, make sure to read the full patch notes here.
If you do by chance have any issues with this patch and need to revert back, this is possible on Steam. Just look for a Beta Build 604.2 that will allow you to return to the previous version.
