Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens took the world by storm when it came out in cinemas in December. Now fans can relive the movie again by reading it in comic book form. The best thing about this news is that Marvel will be making it.

This exciting news came from an exclusive report by ComicBookResources.com. Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens won’t be retold in one story as it’s going to be split up into five issues. It will be written by Chuck Wendig with the artwork being done by Luke Ross.

“‘The Force Awakens’ knocked our socks off from the very first time we saw it, and we could not wait to start being able to play with these new, awesome characters!” editor Jordan D. White told CBR. “Now, we get to bring all of them to the pages of our comics with an adaptation of the film we loved so much! We’re all fans first, so it’s all love that is bringing these pages to life!

It will be interesting to see if the comic book adds a few of the deleted scenes that never made it into the final movie. The official novelization featured a few details that weren’t included in the original theatrical cut. The comic book will be released sometime this June.

The comic book joins the novel, Disney Infinity 3.0 and LEGO: Star Wars: The Force Awakens as other adaptations for the popular movie. The story might be the same, but all adaptations add something new to the table for you to experience it in a different way.
