Dragon Ball Super will be getting a new ending theme this July. This will be the 5th new theme but the opening theme will remain the same for the time being.

The official Dragon Ball Super Twitter page made this announcement a few days ago. The end theme is called “Yoka Yoka Extract Dance” and it is being performed by Batten Show Jo Tai who are an all Japanese girl-group.

The new theme won’t be broadcast until July 31st, 2016 so it is a few weeks until you will actually hear it. It will be episode 54 that will debut the new song. It’s possible there will be new animation added since Future Trunks has joined the Z fighters for the time being.

You can click here in order to listen to the new theme. It has a punk rock vibe to it and it sounds much different to the other themes that the TV series has used in the past. Reception for the theme has been mixed so far…

In other news, Dragon Ball Super TV ratings remain solid thanks to the Future Trunks saga involving Black Goku. Episode 48 received a 6.1 rating. This is down from the 8.4 rating episode 47 got, but it’s still pretty high compared to the Battle of Gods/Frieza sagas.
