The Uncharted 3 Multiplayer Beta is getting ready to begin. To get you up to speed, Naughty Dog has released walkthrough videos for the multiplayer maps featured in the beta. Evan Wells gave us his best approximation of when the beta will actually begin, but also noted that Naughty Dog doesn’t control the actual start time, which is likely initiated by Sony.
As you can tell the beta is of a healthy size, 1.7 GB is what you’ll need on your HDD to download the content. That 1.7 GB looks like it’s going to go along way too. Naughty Dog has said that the beta will incorporate the stereoscopic 3D functionality that is to do for video games, what Avatar did for 3D movies. (Analysts words not mine). Have a look at the videos below for a preview of the multiplayer maps, and sit tight the beta should be beginning within the next 24hours or so.
Throughout the three weeks of the beta period, Naughty Dog will be rotating through a variety of different gametypes, which are detailed in the videos below. Here’s what to expect.
June 28th – July 4th : Team Deathmatch, Plunder, Three Team Deathmatch, Co-Op Arena on the Airstrip & Chateau Maps
July 4th – July 8th : Team Deathmatch, Free For All, Team Objective, Co-Op Hunter on the Airstrip & Chateau Maps
July 9th – July 13th : Team Deathmatch, Three Team Deathmatch, Co-Op Adventure on the Airstrip & Yemen Maps
