Splatoon debuted back in May 2015 for the Wii U and managed to gain a huge fanbase to become one of the biggest Wii U games. We saw a Nintendo Switch version debut during the Switch reveal video back in October, which we assumed was a remaster, but it is actually a brand new game with Splatoon 2.
Splatoon 2 will be releasing exclusively for the Nintendo Switch. You can use either the Joycon controllers or the Pro Controller, with you able to use gyro controls to aim your ink if you so choose. This can be played both at home and on the go, which is the selling feature of the Switch, so it should be great.
The game will include both online play and local network play, which should help make multiplayer even easier. With a better online network as we told you earlier on the Switch, this should help immensely.
Splatoon 2 will be debuting for the Nintendo Switch sometime in Summer 2017. Like the first game, there will be numerous updates coming to the game after release, along with special events. This is definitely a game we expect to see more of at E3 with the summer release, and we can’t wait to get out hands on it.
