Battletoads
Banjo-Kazooie isn’t the only Rare series that some are expecting to see a revival announced during the Xbox One E3 conference. Phil Spencer teased a return by wearing a shirt with the Battletoads logo at a major event and rumors have been everywhere ever since. Hopefully if it is revived, it is a true 2D side-scrolling beat ’em up like the originals were and not some weird 3D game based on the property. I don’t think Rare is working on both a Battletoads and Banjo-Kazooie game, but it is always possible for Battletoads to be worked on by someone else with Rare overseeing it.
Fable Legends
Fans of the Fable franchise would much rather see a new mainline entry in the series, but Fable Legends will definitely be shown off this year during the Xbox One E3 conference, possibly with a release date announcement. Last year’s show had a good bit shown and with a release coming this year, we are bound to see more of a game that honestly not that many seem interested in compared to the rest.
Crackdown Reboot
Last year’s Microsoft Xbox One E3 show revealed that Crackdown was returning in what they are calling essentially a reboot. We have heard basically nothing since then so it would make sense that the game could gets it official unveiling this year that isn’t just a trailer. If the game is fairly far along, I wouldn’t be surprised if we got a release window either.
Quantum Break Reminder That It Exists
Quantum Break was quite the ambitious project when it was first announced, trying to make it more than just a game. However, the game has seen multiple delays over the last year that now has it pushed back to 2016. That means that Microsoft definitely needs to give gamers a refresher course on this game during their Xbox One E3 showing, even if it’s just a trailer, to remind fans that the game is still coming. Otherwise, this one could just be forgotten by the time it releases next year.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Gameplay And Timed Exclusives
The annual entry in the Call of Duty series always has a big presence at E3 and there is no doubt that Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 will do the same. The only question is whether the timed exclusivity on the DLC will be sticking to Xbox platforms this time around or if they will transition to PlayStation as some rumors have stated. If it is still with Xbox, you can bet they will show off the game during the Xbox One E3 portion and reveal the exclusivity during this conference.
Mass Effect 4 Reveal
Mass Effect 4 will be a multi-platform title when it eventually releases, but the series has its roots in the Xbox platform. If we are only seeing a glimpse of Mass Effect 4 this year, it would probably be at the EA conference. However, if we are getting much more, we could always see a trailer during the Microsoft Xbox One E3 conference and then additional in-depth content during the following EA conference.
Telltale’s Minecraft
With the acquisition of Mojang by Microsoft earlier in the year, they would get the upper hand for any Minecraft related announcements. While there is basically no chance of a new Minecraft being announced or anything, there is the Telltale Games Minecraft game that was previously teased. We really don’t know how far along into production this game is, but if it’s coming in the near future, it would be likely that Microsoft would show it off in their Xbox One E3 conference.
