A dad climbed onto his roof to see where his son moved, and found a tiny house with a TV, a table, and one thing missing

A TikTok user who posts as Brent (@brent_in_motion) says his son has moved out of the house, though not very far. In a video posted on October 18, 2026, Brent films a small structure sitting on top of his home and says his son built it there.

The clip has passed over ten million views, and its caption reads “WTF!!” Brent doesn’t say when the build happened or how long it took, and his account hasn’t been independently verified.

Brent says his son built a house “on top of my house” and then takes a look inside. He finds a chair and a little table, along with a TV, before shutting the door because the sun is in his eyes. He says he doesn’t see a toilet anywhere and jokes that his son will probably hang his rear end off the side of the roof. Most of the replies were jokes about where the son lives now.

Viewers joke about the son’s new place

Many commenters made jokes about the old parental rule of living under someone else’s roof. Several wrote that the son technically doesn’t live under his father’s roof anymore, and a few said Brent now lives under his son’s. Others wrote about how the son decorated the place for fall.

One viewer wrote that the son “didn’t move out, he moved up!” Another joked that he didn’t have to pay for any of it because “it’s on the house.” The pumpkin by the door got its own set of replies, with one person writing, “The pumpkin on the porch is sending me.” A few others mentioned the bale of hay sitting next to it.

Some viewers ask about permits and plumbing

A smaller group asked practical questions. Some wanted to know whether the build was allowed and what it might mean for Brent as a homeowner. Others brought up what the room doesn’t have.

“Did you get a building permit for that?” one viewer asked. Another wrote that the “HOA is not going to like that,” and a third was “curious if this affects your taxes.” An HOA once cited one TikTok user over his professional-looking lawn stripes. On the plumbing question, one commenter noted the room has a “Tv and table but no bed and bathroom.”

Dozens of commenters asked about what they described as a Dairy Queen behind Brent’s house, and the video never explains it. Several also called the son Corbin and said they already knew him from his own videos. One viewer said they had seen the son’s clips before finding Brent’s, while another wrote, “His video hasn’t even been release.”
