A placeholder for a Bethesda game was listed on Amazon along with a Fallout-style countdown video before being taken down. Discovered by video game hunter, Wario64 on Twitter, the game apparently included a standard, deluxe, and a collectors edition. At one point, you were able to pre-order all three, with the tentative release date set for December 31 2019, which is usually given to a game that was either just announced, or has yet to be announced.
Despite it’s short showing, the listing has the video game community talking, especially about that countdown video which very much looks like it has the tone of the Fallout series. One possibility would be that Bethesda is remastering Fallout 3, or Fallout New Vegas. Either game would be a welcome addition to the current generation of systems, particularly New Vegas which arguably has the best story line in the Fallout series.
Bethesda already has their hands full with multiple projects such as the upcoming Starfield and The Elder Scrolls VI, which makes the listing that much more surprising. For all we know, the game might not have anything to do with Fallout, it might even just be a mishap on Amazons end. However, if something is in the works, Bethesda won’t reveal anything until they feel the time is right. We’re looking at you E3 2019.
