Animal Crossing is coming to Nintendo Switch, but it will arrive a bit later than many hoped. Originally announced for 2019, the game is now set to arrive on March 20th, 2020. A bit of a delay, but Nintendo promised that the game needed it to be all that it could be. And we also now have the full title for the long anticipated game. Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
The official gameplay trailer actually holds a ton of new info about the upcoming Switch release. The graphics have certainly been improved over previous titles, looking colorful and highly detailed. The world seems much more interactive as well. The player character looked to be able to set up camp, jump across rivers using a pole, and much more. Paths look easily laid as well, marking a big change for fans who like to make their town as clean and neat as possible.
Outside of that, we can only speculate. The end of the trailer might imply a heavier emphasis on multiplayer, though that could have been for dramatic effect. Nintendo will surely be breaking down all the details they’re willing to share as E3 2019 develops. Keep watching for more as the week continues.
