Apex Legends Season 2 Arrives With Brand New Features — 1.14 Patch Notes

The second season for Apex Legends has finally arrived and along with it update 1.14 to the game.  In the update, there’s a new hero in Wattson, new character customization, and new weapons.  As promised, Season 2 is going to have a host of new content for players to unlock through completing the Battle Pass.  There are new challenges and new legendary skins to unlock as well as new customization and content in the forms of emotes, music packs, loading screens and character/weapon skins.  Those who don’t purchase the Battle Pass can unlock items and access new features as well.  The free content in Apex Legends for Season 2 includes new stat trackers for each Legend, free Apex packs, and the Hot Rod skin for the new character, Wattson.

Logging back in to Apex Legends you’ll notice that Kings Canyon has changed, there’s obviously a new character, and a powerful new LMG weapon.  Players can also now play in Ranked Leagues which penalize players for leaving early.  You can find the full patch notes for Apex Legends Update 1.14 below:

Battle Pass Update

To get the Battle Pass, jump into Apex Legends and head to the Battle Pass tab in the store. Grab the Battle Pass for 950 Apex Coins or the Battle Pass Bundle for 2,800 Apex Coins (containing 4,700 Apex Coins’ worth of content!), and you’re all set.

NEW LEGEND: WATTSON

Wattson has entered the arena and is available for 750 Apex Coins or 12,000 Legend Tokens.

• PASSIVE: Spark of Genius
  • Ultimate Accelerants fully charge Wattson’s ultimate. Standing near the Interception Pylon boosts Wattson’s tactical recharge rate.
• TACTICAL: Perimeter Security
  • Create electrified fences by connecting nodes. Fences damage and slow enemies.
• ULTIMATE: Interception Pylon
  • Place an electrified pylon that destroys incoming ordnance and repairs damaged shields [can place up to 3 Pylons at one time].

Ranked Leagues

​The new ranked leagues feature a penalty system for players who abandon ranked matches.
