Bohemia Interactive has recently announced the official release date and details on the upcoming Arma 3 downloadable content pack, “Marksmen”.
The Marksmen DLC, which “aims to redefine what it means to fire a weapon in Arma 3“, is scheduled for release on April 8th. Building upon the current arsenal, the downloadable content pack will add in new premium weapons, attachments and gear. Among the new weaponry are two medium machine guns, the SPMG .338 and Navid 9.3 mm, and five marksman rifles, the Cyrus 9.3 mm, MAR-10 .338, Mk-I EMR 7.62 mm, Mk14 7.62 mm and ASP-1 Kir.
In terms of new gear and attachments there is an interesting range; from AMS and Kahlia medium range scopes to new ghillie suits. These ghillie suits will be for the NATO, CSAT, and AAF factions allowing players to gain different types of camouflage for the various terrain types within Arma 3.
Not just paid for content is available. Bohemia are releasing “a major platform update” to add a new mutliplayer mode “End Game”, new training courses and tweaked weapon handling. The weapon handling section of the free update comes with Bipods and suppressor attachments to give players additional gear to play with, without paying for the additional Marksmen DLC. The free update will also bring in more objects for content creators and additional Steam achievements for players to unlock.
Gamers can purchase the Arma 3 Marksmen DLC, from April 8th, on Steam for €12.99/£10.99/$15.99 or by buying the Arma 3 DLC Bundle, which comes with the Marksmen, Helicopters and Karts DLC packs, for €19.99/£16.99/$24.99.
