Assassin’s Creed III Liberation might be the ultimate extension to the console experience, when the handheld version of the game arrives on the PS Vita later this month. We’ve already been told that the female protagonist from Liberation would cross over into the world of Assasssin’s Creed III on consoles, but Connor will be making an appearance in the handheld version as well.

Assassin’s Creed III Liberation is a new chapter in the Assassin’s Creed saga, designed specifically for PS Vita. Set in the year 1765, during the events leading up to the American Revolution. Aveline, the first female Assassin in the series, will go on a handheld journey that will take her from the crowded streets of New Orleans to voodoo-haunted swamps and ancient Mayan ruins. She will play a pivotal role in the turbulent birth of a new nation as she fights for freedom.

Assassin’s Creed III Liberation is scheduled to arrive on the PS Vita on October 30th, 2012.
