Assassin’s Creed Rogue Exclusive To PS3 In Japan

If you live in Japan, Assassin’s Creed Rogue will only be available for the PS3 platform.

Assassin’s Creed Rogue is not a PS3 exclusive in most other countries in the world. It’s also coming out for the Xbox 360 as well. The game is last-gen’s Assassin’s Creed offering. This was done since Assassin’s Creed Unity is only going to be released for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

Ubisoft gave a good reason why Assassin’s Creed Rogue is skipping the Xbox 360 platform. They said most Japanese Xbox 360 owners have now migrated to the Xbox One since it came out in the country earlier this year.

Another reason Assassin’s Creed Rogue is not releasing for the Xbox 360 in Japan is because of the poor sales Watch Dogs had. Watch Dogs for the Xbox 360 sold very poorly in Japan. They made the decision it wouldn’t have been profitable or logical to release Assassin’s Creed Rogue for Xbox 360 to the country as well.

Japan has never been fond of Microsoft consoles, although Microsoft has been trying hard to turn things around. Assassin’s Creed Rogue isn’t the only game that’s PlayStation exclusive in Japan. Destiny was only released for the PS3 and PS4 while Batman: Arkham Knight will be for the PS4 only in Japan too.
