Axiom Verge launched for the PlayStation 4 and PC last year and got rave reviews for its fantastic Metroidvania gameplay, but now it will be headed for even more platforms. Developer Thomas Happ Games has revealed that it will also be coming to Xbox One and Wii U later this year.
There hasn’t been any details regarding if the new versions of the game will include new features, though more information is expected to be announced later on. We’re still waiting on an official release date, so exact details will more than likely be released around that time.
Unfortunately, we also still don’t have an official release date for the long in-development PS Vita version of the game. It was initially supposed to launch last year, though due to the Vita’s very different architecture it resulted in a development process that was much trickier than expected. The Axiom Verge Twitter account did reveal that they submitted the Vita version to Sony for certification on March 11th, however.
Axiom Verge originally launched for the PlayStation 4 on March 31st, 2015 and on PC on May 14th, 2015. Stay tuned for when release dates for the other versions of the game are announced.
