Hold on to your hats “One Piece” fans, because come 2018, Luffy and the rest of the Straw Hat crew will be setting out on their greatest adventure yet.

On Twitter, Bandai Namco has announced its One Piece: World Seeker, the latest game based on Eiichiro Oda’s immensely popular One Piece manga. Since it was only just announced, all that’s known about the upcoming game is that it will be an action-adventure game with an open world setting and feature Japansese voice acting.

Here’s an official description from Bandai Namco:

About

“Set sail in an all-new One Piece adventure in One Piece: World Seeker! Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates are back in a new story that puts players’ into Luffy’s point of view, as he battles and explores an expansive and seamless world. Open landscapes provide many paths for players to experience Luffy’s Gum-Gum abilities and swing into action. One Piece: World Seeker is the biggest One Piece game to date!”

Key Features

— A One Piece adventure with open fields to explore.
— Explore seamless and expansive areas in an all-new adventure.
— Experience an epic new story from Luffy’s point of view with all of his Gum-Gum abilities.

It’s been quite sometime since “One Piece” got a non-fighting game on consoles. The most recent was One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3 which arrived on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita and PC (a Nintendo Switch version is coming next year). Since then, the only games that have arrived West was Burning Blood and Thousand Storm. Considering how Pirate Warriors 3 was received compared to later titles, it’s clear that Bandai Namco and Ganbarion are returning to the genre that does the series the most justice: action.

In the meantime, fans looking forward to more information will be happy to know that a trailer for One Piece: World Seeker will debut this weekend at Jump Festa 2018 in Japan.

One Piece: World Seeker is due out for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC in 2018.
