Bandai Namco has now given us an update on the situation regarding Dragon Ball Xenoverse’s online servers.

If you own Dragon Ball Xenoverse, you will know that the online servers have been down or unresponsive. Bandai Namco is still working on the servers to ensure they are working properly.

Bandai Namco announced on Facebook:

“Attention Dragon Ball XENOVERSE players!

Toki Toki City has been overflowing with your custom characters during our first week of release and we’re very excited to share the Dragon Ball world with all of you! Some players have reported difficulties connecting to the Dragon Ball XENOVERSE servers to enjoy the online features of the game.

We are working tirelessly to address the server issues so that everyone can have a smooth experience both on and offline and last night we deployed many updates and changes already during the maintenance period. We will continue to provide updates on the official Steam forums and the official Dragon Ball Games Facebook page to keep you updated.

If you are still having issues connecting to the servers and wish to play completely offline, that is an option. Disabling your internet connection before starting the game will boot the game into Offline Mode. We understand that this is not an acceptable fix and will continue to provide updates on the Dragon Ball XENOVERSE server stability.

Thank you for your patience!”

Sadly, online server issues have been common in video games today. Battlefield 4, Driveclub, Halo: The Master Chief Collection and some others all launched with online server problems. Hopefully Bandai Namco can fix Dragon Ball Xenoverse’s issues soon as this has been going on for several days now.
