Next month, Until Dawn developer Supermassive Games’ next interactive horror story, Man of Medan, will be released. Recently, publisher Bandai Namco revealed the game’s multiplayer modes.
Bandai Namco recently revealed that Man of Medan will have two different multiplayer modes in addition to its single-player mode. These two multiplayer modes are Shared Story mode and Movie Night mode. In Shared Story mode, two players can play together online, each controlling a different character. This means that neither player will see the full story, since all the characters will be split up from each other at times. While the two players can potentially help each other, they also don’t know what’s happening to each other when they are separated, which can add to the horror atmosphere. Movie Night mode, on the other hand, is a couch co-op mode with up to five players, each controlling one of the five playable characters in the game. In this mode, each player will be assigned a character and the single controller will be passed around between the players depending on which character the story is focused on at the time.
Man of Medan is set for release on August 30 and will be available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
