It appears the weekend is not going so well for people playing Battlefield 1 online. The servers appear to be down for a number of gamers that own the game.
If you visit the down detector website, you can see a lot of gamers are reporting that the EA servers are having issues. This includes many parts of the United States to even a country such as New Zealand.
The EA Support Twitter page replied with: “The team is aware of this issue, and are currently investigating. We appreciate your patience”
EA did not announce any maintenance is being done this weekend, so the servers are offline for a different reason. It sounds like more than just Battlefield 1 may be affected as some people have noticed they cannot play other EA video games online.
We will let you know if the servers are back online for Battlefield 1 and/or other video games from EA. It’s pretty annoying since the launch of the game last week went smoothly compared to Battlefield 4. Hopefully things are able to sort themselves out. These things usually blow over in a couple hours or even less than that.
Update: EA Support tweeted: “The connectivity issues have been resolved. Apologies for the inconvenience. If you are still having trouble connecting please let us know.”
