The Battlefield: Hardline beta is over. PC and PS4 players have gotten a chance to sample Visceral Games’ shooter over the last couple of weeks, but a second beta will arrive for all platforms in the fall.

This second beta will arrive on all announced platforms for the game, that means Xbox owners will finally get a chance to play the new Battlefield game. A post on the Battlefield Blog says that the second beta will “showcase more.” New maps or modes, perhaps? Visceral did not give an exact date as to when to expect this second beta for the game.

“We have plenty of new modes in the game that really play off the cop and criminal theme, as well as the return of fan-favorites. The variety in maps is also something that Battlefield fans have never experienced before, from subterranean grow labs to the streets of Miami, complete with all the vibe and flavor that city has to offer,” says Steve Papoutsis of Visceral.

Battlefield: Hardline has seen a somewhat mixed response since its official reveal. There’s a wide range of opinions on the new Battlefield game. Some say it’s nothing but a glorified expansion pack for Battlefield 4. Others have a more open mind about the cops and crooks premise.

Battlefield: Hardline is due out this October on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, PS3, and PC.
