Electronic Arts has made a decision to delay Battlefield V. The publisher says that the delay is to make “final adjustments to core gameplay.”
DICE’s Oskar Gabrielson says that the developer is looking to “make some meaningful improvements to the core gameplay experience, including adjusting the gameplay tempo, improving soldier visibility and reducing player friction.”
Gabrielson says that the Battlefield V Beta will not be affected by the delay.
The new release date for Battlefield V will now be on November 20th.
While DICE and EA say that the delay is due to “getting it right” with Battlefield V, they do seem to be getting out of the way of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 and Red Dead Redemption 2 in the process. Something that analysts suggested may be cause for concern when it comes to sales of the shooter.
Battlefield V will release on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC on November 20th, 2018. An open beta for the game is set to arrive on September 6th.
