Nintendo’s Reggie Fils-Aime took the stage just moments ago at The Game Awards, following the announcement that Bayonetta and Bayonetta 2 would be coming to Nintendo Switch in February 2018. That wasn’t the only news they had to reveal though, with a teaser trailer for Bayonetta 3 bringing fans’ dreams to life.

Little is known about the new title, but it is apparently under development right now. Bayonetta 3 will be a Nintendo Switch exclusive, following in the footsteps of its predecessor, which was a Wii U exclusive title. Platinum Games, the creator of the franchise is making the game, which has no set release window just yet.

With its predecessors arriving in 2018, it could be 2019 or later until Bayonetta 3 makes its way to the Switch. Fans will certainly be excited, and hopefully the larger and more popular console will help the series reach the sales heights it has always deserved. The previous games were critical darlings, but the audience was tough to reach. It did garner a cult following though, and this sequel will surely generate a ton of excitement on Nintendo Switch.
