Bethesda rocked the gaming world with their very first Bethesda E3 Showcase back in 2015. There they showed, for the first time, Fallout 4, setting the stage for one of the biggest and best selling games of the year. They said it might be a one time thing, but they were back again last year, and it looks like we’re in for some more big announcements with the Bethesda E3 Showcase 2017 being officially announced with the final date and time.
Once again gamers will have to tune in late Sunday, a couple of days before E3 proper even begins. June 11th, with doors opening at 6:30pm which will likely lead to the show beginning at 7pm Pacific Time. Bethesda likes to open their doors to the public a bit, with limited ticket options, usually via random drawings. We don’t have those details yet, but they are promising them soon.
Of course, with this announcement comes tons of speculation about what Bethesda could have in store for their latest E3 Showcase. The Elder Scrolls VI is pretty much the first thing that springs to any gamer’s mind, with the game definitely coming at some point in the future. Bethesda has been clear in saying that it is a ways off though, and they like to hold their game announcements until the title is closer to release. Fallout 4 got announced in June for a November release, so The Elder Scrolls VI might hit next year, though a teaser wouldn’t be too shocking.
The pre-E3 press conferences have been shifting a lot lately, with Bethesda now sharing Sunday with Microsoft. The Xbox Press Briefing was typically on Monday before the E3 doors opened on Tuesday. They were also just a few hours before Sony’s PlayStation presser, which seems to be remaining on Monday so far.
