Bethesda’s Prey Might be Coming to a Theater Near You

Bethesda already has gamers excited for their upcoming first-person thriller Prey. However, it seems that they really want to hammer home that this is a game that you should be excited about, announcing a US tour to let gamers get their hands on the game. This isn’t like most hands-on tours though, with the game coming to movie theaters with a special presentation.

So far only four locations have been announced, though we aren’t sure if more are on the way. The dates and locations are:

Austin, TX – The Highball at the Alamo Drafthouse South Lamar – April 4
San Francisco, CA – Bear vs Bull at the Alamo Drafthouse San Francisco – April 11
New York City, NY – House of Wax at the Alamo Drafthouse Brooklyn – April 19
Los Angeles, CA – The Regent Theater – April 25

If you’re nearby, you can RSVP for an event right here. This event is also focues on movies with a Sci-Fi film fest called “Inspriations of Prey” which will feature movies that influenced the developers of the game. You can see what film will be showing at your theater and buy your tickets right here.

There are more movies showing than there are the four hands-on events, so if you want to check out some awesome sci-fi films you might want to check out the list and see if they’ll be showing near you. Almost all are at Alamo Drafthouse, so if you have one nearby be sure to check it out.

Prey is taking a very big departure from the game where it takes its name. Not really a reboot or even a reimagining, the game is looking like a totally new creation with the same name. Even with videos and gameplay demonstrations being put out there’s still an air of mystery around Prey, so these hands-on events should be an enlightening experience.

Prey will hit PS4, Xbox One, and PC on May 5th.
