While BioWare has been pretty firm in the past in regards to when we’ll be getting more information on Mass Effect Andromeda, the developer is definitely teasing something Mass Effect related that could be happening during today’s PlayStation Meeting.
The teasing is being done by BioWare’s Michael Gamble and Ian S Frazier, which both recently took to Twitter to make note of today’s date. Michael Gamble tweeted “Oh, God. Tomorrow is the 7th, isn’t it?” and Ian S. Frazier tweeted earlier today “Well then. Today should be fun. #space.”
Of course, this is by no means a confirmation that something is going to happen, but they are definitely up to something that is going to be shared today. What will be interesting is what it will actually be about, as Mass Effect Andromeda was previously reported as not getting new details until November and a Mass Effect Trilogy remaster is repeatedly shut down.
Mass Effect Andromeda is currently slated to launch for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC in Q1 2017. Seeing as we haven’t seen actual gameplay from Andromeda and the game is still slated to launch early next year, it stands to reason that we’ll be getting something soon.
The PlayStation Meeting will kick off today at 3 PM EST, and you can watch it live by clicking right here.
