Call of Duty players know the tough decision at hand after you’ve completed all the multiplayer levels in the game. Do you show your dedication and do it all again? Prestige Mode was introduced back in Call of Duty 4, and it gave players the opportunity to earn badges for their profiles which showcased their level of dedication.

Black Ops 2 will once again feature Prestige Leveling, but according to the developer of the game, things are going to be changed a bit. Treyarch says that players will be able to “pick up right where they left off” in the weapons leveling during Prestige Mode.

“If you Prestige and unlock a gun, you’ll pick up right where you left off. If something has been a certain way a long time, the assumption when it doesn’t work the way it has in the past is that it is a bug.”

This is opposed to the method that was used in Modern Warfare 3 where you needed to compelete any gun challenge objectives before entering Prestige Mode, or risk losing all of your progression with said weapon.
