Many fans of the classic-style Castlevania games have been looking forward to Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, a new side-scrolling action-platformer that’s development is being led by former Castlevania producer Koji Igarashi, who has worked on a number of Castlevania titles in the past, including the beloved Symphony of the Night. Now, the game finally has a release date (or release dates, rather), as well as some graphical improvements.
It was recently revealed in a new trailer for the game that Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night will be releasing on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam and GOG.com on June 18, and will be releasing on Nintendo Switch a week later on June 25. The other main focus of the new trailer is to show how much better the game looks now, as compared to early demoes and such. The trailer starts off by showing several online criticisms of the game, stating that it looks bland and boring. Then, a number of “old and new” shots are shown, revealing just how much better the game’s environments and characters look in the newest build. But don’t take my word for it – you can watch the new release date trailer for Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night below.
